I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. I have spent time working with students at multiple schools in Conway from 5th grade up to high school graduation. I have experience working extensively with children and adults in treating anxiety, depression, anger, defiance at home and school, handling day-to-day stressors, parent-child relationships, and complex family histories and dynamics. I have been trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and take a client centered approach in treatment. I am committed to continuing my education and training to effectively serve the people of Central Arkansas.
How does my personality influence my approach to therapy?
I have always been interested in hearing other’s perspectives and sorting through logical steps as well as identifying emotional reactions. My hope is that, if you work with me, you find that I am genuinely interested in what is best for you and that I will strive to assist you in reaching your goals.
What I like to do for fun:
Spending time with friends and family (dogs included) is very valuable to me. I also enjoy watching, playing, and talking about sports and video games.
What would I say to someone considering therapy or counseling for the first time?
I believe there is great value in finding ways to improve your mental health. This could include working on day-to-day living, processing past experiences, or simply conversing with a professional who might help you learn more about yourself. I believe if you have an opportunity to make an improvement, you should not hold yourself back.
