Our philosophy at Conway Counseling & Wellness focuses on the whole body and mind’s health. Physical and mental health are linked together—when you take better care of your physical well being, it can have a positive effect on your mental wellbeing. Our wellness services are designed to help improve mental wellbeing through physical therapies, including yoga therapy and massage therapy. We also help clients with chronic pain and its effects on physical and mental wellbeing with wellness services.
Yoga for Addictions, Trauma, and Chronic Pain
Improve Mental Health with Gentle Yoga
We offer yoga as a complement to our psychotherapy services that focus on gentle, restorative movements designed to help with anxiety, depression, and high-stress levels. Therapeutic yoga is offered as part of a six-week clinic focused on improving physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. During the clinic, we focus on exploring emotional connections to our beings, what is going on in our lives and beings, and what we can do to improve. During the sessions, we focus on action steps our participants can use outside of class to continue improvement and focus on a specific topic in self-care.
For trauma survivors who experienced abuse, an accident, war, or other types of trauma, yoga serves to build trust and a mindful, positive relationship with survivors’ bodies and beings. After a trauma, many survivors experience feelings of betrayal from their bodies that failed to get them to safety or cause pain after traumatic experiences. Therapeutic yoga for trauma focuses on reestablishing trust through mindfulness, deep breathing, and gentle yoga exercises.

Art Therapy
The use of artistic methods to treat psychological disorders
Art therapy can access centers in the brain, where crisis often makes emotions inaccessible by language. Art therapy uses the creative process of art-making, to gain a greater understanding and awareness of oneself, ones’ relationship with others, and ones’ ability to cope, problem solve and learn how to better attain ones’ hopes and dreams.
