Fees & Insurance
All you need to know about billing and coverage
What You Need to Know
We accept a wide range of insurance plans and work with our clients and their insurance providers to make our services accessible and affordable.
Health Insurance Fees & In-Network Providers
Health Care plans generally set rates according to their own policies and procedures. Simply put, the insurance companies determine the fee schedule, not your counselor. Each carrier has different rates at which they reimburse for mental health services. We do our best to work with your insurance plan to help cover costs.
However, there are hundreds of different insurance plans, so here’s what you can do to check that your services are covered:
- Call your insurance company’s customer service department at the phone number on the back of your insurance card.
- Ask about their benefits for mental health, sometimes called “behavioral health” or “psychotherapy.”
- Be sure to ask about the deductible and copay—some require these to be met, and others do not.
Due to the high costs associated with billing and processing insurance claims, as well as other expenses associated with providing all the services you will find in our facility, we are not able to offer a sliding scale.
Each of our providers is credentialed individually, so coverage can vary. Our friendly reception team will be glad to check your specific plan and let you know which providers are in your network.

Low-Cost Sessions
For those who may experience insurance challenges, we also offer sessions at cash rates of $5 with our student interns who are completing their master’s degrees or doctorates. Our interns are supervised by an experienced therapist and offer an affordable way to get the help you need.
Cancellation Fee
Each practitioner is committed to doing their best work for each client. As you may expect, when you set up a session, that time is blocked off just for you. If you are not able to attend, this time that was dedicated to you is now unable to be filled with another person seeking services.
We know that emergencies happen on occasion, but please be respectful of the time that your practitioner has reserved for you. If you need to reschedule, please allow 24 hours’ notice so we can offer that time to another person needing service. If you do not give us advance notice, you may owe an additional cancellation fee.

Getting Started
Our process is simple and stress-free. Here’s how it works:
Check Your Insurance
First, consult your health insurance company. Look for the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to ask about your mental health coverage. This will help you understand any out-of-pocket costs, deductibles, or copayments you may have.
Find Your Counselor
Each of our providers is credentialed individually with different health insurance companies, so we’ll match you with a counselor in your network. If you don’t see your insurance listed, don’t worry—we’re constantly working to accept more plans as our practice grows.
Schedule Your Session
Once your insurance coverage is confirmed, we’ll help you schedule an appointment with one of our counselors.
