
Amber specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to assess client’s irrational thoughts, feelings, and behaviors which cause dysfunction or stress to them. She has spent several years treating childhood disorders such as ADHD, defiant, school problems, learning disorder, and social problems. She also treats depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment, and anger management.
Amber’s approach to therapy is collaborative and person centered. She believes that therapy should build on a person’s strengths while empowering them for change.
Amber graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2004 with her Master’s in Community Counseling. Ever since then, she has spent the majority of her time working in community mental health centers serving individuals, as well as families.
Amber adopts a collaborative approach to therapy, she believes working together achieves greater growth.
What would I say to someone considering therapy or counseling for the first time?
I provide a warm, inviting, and supportive environment so that my clients may feel comfortable sharing their experiences with me!
