People come to therapy for many different reasons. They may have conflicting values, mixed up feelings, strained relationships, stressful situations, grief or loss, anxiety, depression, and/or traumatic experiences along with many other factors. Brene Brown, renowned author and researcher, states that vulnerability is emotional risk, exposure, and uncertainty and is the most accurate measurement of courage. Coming to therapy creates an element of vulnerability that can be both rewarding and courageous. Wherever you are in life therapy can help you bridge connections and find you way on your journey.

Favorite quote: “The times in our lives in which we feel that we have the least power are actually the times when we have the most. Those are the times in which we affirm or redefine who we are, what we believe, and make choices that can impact ourselves and those we encounter for a lifetime.” Gail Pursell Elliott
